"CCC" certification is the three-in-one authoritative certification of National safety certification (CCEE), also known as "Great Wall" Mark”, Import Safety and Quality Licensing System (CCIB) and Elector Magnetic Compatibility Certification (EMC). It significantly simplifies foreign trade with China and creates a “level playing field” for all market participants.

The CCC certificate applies to imported goods as well as to Chinese-manufactured products. The certification process involves the GB standards.

The mandatory products include, among others:

1.  Electrical wires and cables (3 types)

2.  Circuit switches, electric devices for protection or connection (5 types)

3.  Low-voltage Electrical Apparatus (2 types)

4.  Low power motors (1 type)

7.  Household and similar electrical appliances (19 types)

8.  Electronic products and safety accessories (18 types)

10.  Motor vehicles and safety accessories (13 types)

12.  Fire Fighting Equipment (3 types)

13.  Safety Protection Products (2 types)

14.  Building Materials Products (3 types)

16.  Explosion-proof electrical products (17 types)

17.  Household gas appliances (3 types)

CCC to Explosion-proof electrical products

For explosion-proof electrical products, the following need to obtain the CCC mark:

4.  Explosion-proof switch, control and protection products;

7.  Explosion-proof electric actuator, solenoid valve products;

10.  Explosion-proof communication and signal device;

11.  Explosion-proof air conditioning and ventilation equipment;

12.  Explosion-proof electric heating products;

13.  Explosion-proof accessories, EX components;

17.  Explosion-proof instrument box products.

Apart from the GB Standard, the implementation rules are the second important component that form the basis of CCC certification. The implementation rules determine the process of the CCC and list the mandatory products for the certification. Based on many regulatory amendments, it is important to get the latest version of the implementation rules before starting the certification process.

Implementation rules of explosion-proof electric products:

It should be noted that as of October 1, 2020, without CCC certificate and the CCC mark, explosion-proof products are prohibited from leaving the factory, selling, importing or using them in other business activities.

Explosion-proof electronic products must be tested in accordance to their Ex type. They can be tested according to one or more Ex types. The GB standards regulate the necessary testing methods and requirements. The following table shows the tests needed according to the implementation rule CNCA-C23-01:2019:

The CCC certification is administered by CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration of the P.R.C) in cooperation with SAMR (State Administration for Market Regulation).
